Here's a real treat for Vertigo collectors, record cover enthusiasts and greengrocers. If you've read my column in this month's Shindig! you'll know all about hard rockers Juicy Lucy, the mysterious Zelda Plum, and photographer Peter Smith.
Peter was kind enough to share with us this image of the unused (rear)
cover he mocked up for their debut LP and which was rejected by Philips.
A real bit of history!
Bonus! Here's Zelda Plum in full regalia for the single launch in 1969. Amazing!
Thanks so much for sharing these Peter, and I'd still be really interested to
hear from anyone who can add anything to the strange story of Zelda Plum.

Shindig! No.61
It's that time again. Shindig! No.61 hits the shops today. In it I get to talk to the equally brilliant Michael Giles and Keith Reid. Genii both. You can also read about Syd Barrett, groupies on film and UFO! Lovey stuff.

Shindig! No.59
Almost forgot to give two big thumbs up to this month's Shindig! Cadet Concept, Betty Davis and radiophonics among a heap of brilliant stuff, plus me with an unhappy pachydermic Vinyl Art...
